Originally from Cape Cod, AnnMarie lived in Massachusetts her whole life before seeking out (like so many of us!) warmer weather instead of the cold northern winters. Married with four grown children and two grandchildren, AnnMarie and her husband fell in love with Charlotte after visiting one of their children and his wife who reside here. She brings with her 30 years of nursing experience, and we think you’ll agree: she’s the perfect addition to the team.
AnnMarie’s career history began with acute care, where she worked in neuro-surgery, recovery, homecare and hospice. She then sought out a change and pivoted to spend the last 14 years to school nursing. Motivated to elevate the specialty of nursing, she obtained her National Certification in School Nursing (NCSN), and her M.Ed in School Nurse Education. In an effort to help educate her colleagues, she trained and brought many important services to the school setting including CPR, Stop the Bleed and Preventure – all which she was trained to teach. Most recently, she added training in aesthetics and injectables to her impressive resume.
When she’s not working or spending time with her family, AnnMarie is an avid cook—in fact her children have long requested a cookbook from her, which is a work in progress. She loves being on the water and boating, but just as much enjoys the land and appreciates a good hike. AnnMarie meditates regularly as she finds it’s the best tool to deal with everyday stressors, and it’s also wonderful for self-care and “me time”. “I’m excited to be a part of Companion Health and support clients while they strive to achieve their optimal health goals,” she says. We are grateful to have her on our team!
