Hope’s introduction to the importance of health stems from being diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in high school. Navigating the ups and downs of a chronic condition while maintaining joy, humor and a smile has become a way of life for Hope. She can empathize with looking “normal” on the outside but feeling poorly on the inside, and adamantly believes a diagnosis, or any health issue, is not a defining attribute of a person, rather it’s just a part of their story.

Hope graduated from Wake Forest University with a BA in Communications and a double minor in Journalism and Entrepreneurship. She laughs at how her college dreams of becoming a Broadcast Journalist have vastly changed, but for the better. Hope is committed to helping others reach attainable & sustainable health goals and loves to say she, “likes to keep it real, while helping people heal.”

As a wife and mom of three beautiful and busy young children, it became easy for Hope to put aside her own health. After receiving unpleasant routine lab results, she realized that something needed to change and sought out functional medicine. Hope became a Companion Health client, and with the support of Dr. Jorge and the entire CH team, she changed her health. By living out her own holistic healing, Hope knew the next step was to attend the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and become a Health Coach. With this new chapter, Hope feels she’s fully living out her purpose: helping others see their full potential and being there to encourage them and steady them as they make strides towards their goals.

Hope stays active by running to throwback jams, chasing after her two mischievous mini dachshunds, and her personal favorite: having impromptu dance parties in the kitchen with her husband and children. She enjoys cooking, interior design, warm lemon water every morning before her espresso, and absolutely any time she’s with her family.
